The theme for 2014 will be Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy in Emerging Markets. This year we are expanding the scope to “go back to the roots” of diffuse reflection spectroscopy in any spectral area, including Mid-IR, Visible, Raman, Terahertz, Fluorescence and indeed, any spectral region or field of optical spectroscopy utilizing diffuse reflection. We want to attract researchers from Latin America and other countries that are experiencing growth in these applications. We want to bring in more students, and all proceeds from conference exhibits will be destined to student scholarships. Join us in Chambersburg to discuss recent advances in diffuse reflectance spectroscopy in a relaxed atmosphere, and show-off your Chemometrics skills in our Software Shootout. |
The Chambersburg Conference follows the “Gordon Conference” format: the registrants attend plenary morning and evening sessions, with afternoons free for elective activities. This allows a unique opportunity for informal interaction with highly accomplished professionals in the field. Since 1982, this unique conference has offered the opportunity to forge lifelong professional relationships and friendships. |
The conference is held on the 300-acre campus of Wilson College in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in south central Pennsylvania. Chambersburg is a charming town with an interesting history. |
On-site accommodations include, clean, well-supplied dormitory room (dormitories have air conditioning this year), (NOTE- we have filled all of the air conditioned rooms. If you are registering now, you will be in an un-airconditioned room) all meals, and access to various recreational activities. Although these accommodations are very conducive to obtaining the maximum experience from the conference, alternate hotel accommodations are available off-campus and more information on these will be available later. |
For more information please contact the conference chair (Dr. Rodolfo Romanach) by email.
